What a special place in my heart do I have for the White Tail deer. I was able to observe them at a very close distance for several years. I feel blessed that I had the chance and opportunity to do just that. These were wild white-tail deer and I was living on a piece of property that they would travel back and forth each day. They really are beautiful creatures of nature! I could tell you days of stories of what I was able to witness. Such wonderful moments that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
White-tailed deer- are found in Southern Canada and most of the United States. Adult weight ranges from 110-150 lbs. Feed on grass, twigs, buds, acorns, and a wide variety of hardwood trees and leaves from conifer trees such as white pine and hemlock.
