Swan Days - Photography by Karol Livote
Mute Swan: This species was introduced to the Connecticut area many years ago and could be found in zoos & parks and golf courses. Today, they are found in the wild thru out the state including the coastal areas. Feeds on plants and aquatic insects. During the winter, will migrate to open areas of water.
This was captured on an Autumn Morning at Kettletown State Park in Southbury, Connecticut. The fog had just lifted and there was a breeze that was skipping across the glassy calm water.
